Solo Play Review
Zombie In My Pocket is an easy Print and Play build running to about four printed pages and, if you choose to, two pages of card of a similar size. The artwork and design are excellent and extremely clear as are the rules. Special mention should go to the rules which are printed with a very clever origami system to allow them to be formed into a booklet the same size as the games larger cards, something other very well presented PnPs could learn from.
Both the game play and appearance of the game remind me quite strongly of the Twilight Inc. series of Zombies!!! games if rather stripped back. The player draws location cards searching a house for a totem which must be buried in a nearby grave yard to achieve victory. Choices boil down to flipping extra event cards in search of handy items but losing precious time, healing at the cost of time and fighting or running from the inevitable zombie assaults.
The game is a good 1 player time filler, which is a market not well catered to by more mainstream publishers, for obvious reasons. If that happens to be something you need in your life you'd be insane not to download Zombie In My Pocket.
